Role Description

This is a role for a Manager – Quality Assurance responsible for overseeing the operations of the Quality and Quality Assurance department and ensuring that the organization maintains required quality standards and compliance with internal, customer, and certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all operations of the Quality & Quality Assurance department
• Responsible for all internal and external audits
• Responsible for customer complaint handling process
• Responsible for managing day-to-day quality issues
• Responsible for maintaining ISO standards and other supplier audit standards

Qualifications

• Degree holder with Physical Science or Polymer Science from a recognized university
• Proven experience in Quality Assurance& Quality Control department in a large or medium scale manufacturing company with at least 10 years’ experience
• Quality management diploma and experience in the Rubber& Plastic industry will be an added qualification
• Thorough knowledge of quality management systems and ISO standards
• Strong knowledge of problem-solving techniques and ability to resolve quality issues effectively
• Ability to pay meticulous attention to identify even minor defects or deviations from the quality standard
• Excellent communication skills in both Sinhala & English
• Sound knowledge in MS Word and excellent in Excel
• Age will be considered up to 50 years

• At least 10 years working experiences in a similar position
• Experience in the plastic packaging industry will be added qualification
• Preference will be given to those who reside proximity to Matugama area
